Pressed Petal Suite Cards

The Pressed Petal Suite was the first suite that I bought in the Annual Catalog. The Pressed Petal Specialty Designer Series Paper is probably the most incredible paper Stampin’ Up! has every delivered. The colors are so vibrant and I love that they were photographed. I decided I wanted to show how versatile this suite is to all types of crafters.

Here are some ideas I used to show off the cards….

  • In the “a little note” card I wanted to showcase the paper and the Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder.
  • I took a 2” x 4” panel of the DSP and glued it askew on the crumb cake panel. I cut off the excess paper so it was flush on the crumb cake cardstock.
  • I ran the crumb cake panel through the die cutting machine with the Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder. The embossing folder is great to use on on the printed paper.
  • Wrapping the 1/8” blueberry bushel grosgrain ribbon two times adds a little more depth to the card
  • on a scrap piece of whisper white card stock I stamped a floral image from the Path of Petals stamp set in daffodil delight and the sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala stamp set. The scrap was punched out with the Timeless Label Punch.
  • Borders are easy to make with punches. Here I punched a scrap of blueberry bushel card stock and cut it in half and adhered each half to the punched whisper white piece. Remember….dimensionals are your friend!!!
  • Don’t forget to add the bling….here the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots were added to the flowers
  • On the inside panel, adding a scrap piece of the embossed crumb cake completes the card.
  • Z fold cards are one of my favorite card layouts. They are so easy to make. Here I cut at piece of crumb cake card stock 4 1/4” x 11” and scored along the 11” side at 2 3/4” and 5 1/2”.
  • In the Pressed Petal specialty paper, there is a piece that you can up into different sized panels. The main floral image DSP is 3 1/4” x 4 1/4” and glued onto a 3 1/2” x 4 1/2” piece of rococco rose card stock.
  • the other piece of DSP for the side panel is 2 1/2” x 4”
  • The “thanks” die comes from the Well Written Dies . To add dimension, I cut the “thanks” out 2 times in mossy meadow and one time in rococco rose card stock. TIP: use the Silicone Craft Sheet and drop some multipurpose glue on it and sponge the glue onto the die cut pieces to layer.
  • Wink of Stella adds the bling to the card.

I hope you enjoyed today’s cards. Please check out the Clearance Rack to see what is retiring. I would stock up on the Pressed Petal Specialty DSP before it’s gone….you won’t be disappointed.

Happy Stamping,
