Welcome to my blog….it’s been a VERY, VERY long time since I have posted anything. I love my blog site and I need to give it a little TLC. With these uncertain times, I find creating very therapeutic and I have told myself that I need to blog my creations to share with all of you.
Spring is definitely in the air especially here in Georgia…everything is so green and lush right now. Stampin’ UP! sure knows how to tease us with early releases of new products that will be featured in the new Annual Catalog arriving in June. I was lucky enough to pre-order this suite and I just love all the colors and in the Ornate Garden DSP (152488)….(hint…one of the new 2020-21 in colors is incorporated in the paper!!!). You can see all the products in the suite HERE.
To make the card, I started with a 4 1/2 x 11 inch piece of whisper white and folded in half. I cut the gold frame from the ornate layers dies (152726) . The mint macaron/gold embossed 4 x 5 1/4 DSP is adhered onto the card front. The main floral image from the Ornate Style stamp set (152572) is great for watercoloring, color blending and sponging. I used watercolor paper and heat embossed the image with gold embossing powder. I took crushed curry, old olive, mango melody and flirty flamingo inks and used my aquapainter to color in the flowers. I fussy cut out the image and popped it up with dimensionals. Tucked behind the floral image are 2 pieces of old olive 1/4” satin ribbon which is part of the suite. I just looped them with glue dots and adhered behind the floral image. I stamped “So Grateful” saying from the Ornate Thanks stamp set (149471) in gold embossing powder on a 3/4 x 3 1/2 inch whisper white scrap paper. To give a little more depth to the card I added gold gilded gems (152478) to finish off the card.
There is so much to offer in this suite….I am a huge fan of everything sold together. You can play around forever!!! Here are some more samples…
If you would like to purchase this suite before the catalog goes live, you can go to my website to place an order.
Happy Stamping!!!
