Beautiful Friendship One Sheet Wonder

The excitement is building for the debut of the new catalog and with that comes the retirement of stamp sets and the 2018-2020 in colors. I wanted to showcase these colors retiring and creating my own designer sheet was the best way to show them off. I thought the Beautiful Friendship stamp set would be great to show off these beautiful vibrant colors.

I stamped the images from the stamp set with the 2018-2020 in colors randomly on a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of whisper white cardstock. I love the way all the colors come together. I then decided what card designs I wanted to create and started cutting the cardstock.

I love creating fun fold cards. This is a take on a z-fold card. I started with a piece of 4 1/4 x 11 of whisper white cardstock scored at 5 1/2. The z-fold piece is a 4 x 11 piece of grapefruit grove cardstock scored at 5 1/2 and 8 1/8. I cut a 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 piece of the stamped cardstock and glued it onto the 4 x 5 1/2 grapefruit grove panel. The next cut was a 2 3/4 x 3 7/8 piece adhered to the grapefruit grove cardstock. I glued the grapefruit grove panel to the front of the whisper white card front.

Here is a side view of the card. I really like how this fold showcases the images of the stamp set. I challenged myself to play with a stamp set I had never used. The sentiment comes from the Path of Petals Bundle. Lovely lipstick cardstock cut out with the die from the bundle. I sponge daubed the sentiment with pineapple punch for a little more depth. The sentiment was popped up with dimensionals on the die cut piece and then glued on with tombow to the card.

Here is another card using a 3 1/8 x 3 7/8 piece of the stamped paper. I added 2 strips of 1/2 x 3” lovely lipstick cardstock to the sides of the paper. The lovely lipstick 1/8” grosgrain ribbon was wrapped around the cardstock. The sentiment from the stamp set was stamped in lovely lipstick on a scrap piece of whisper white cardstock and punched out with the timeless label punch. To get the border on the sides of the punched sentiment, you can punch out another piece, here I used lovely lipstick and cut in half and glue onto the sides. I popped up the punched sentiment with dimensionals . I ran a 4 x 5 1/2” piece of pineapple punch cardstock through a die cutting machine with the Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder and glued to the pineapple punch card base.

Tomorrow I will showcase the other two cards made with the rest of the one sheet wonder cardstock. Hope you enjoyed today’s cards.

Happy Stamping,
